As a library member you can download a great selection of ebooks, audiobooks and magazines, like BBC Good Food, Total Film and Hello! absolutely free.

Children's Activities

Falkirk's libraries are fantastic for families. We plan a range of activities for all ages throughout the year, including school holidays. Come and join the fun!

  • Rhymetimes are a great way to socialise your baby and toddler with songs, stories and action.
  • Storytimes are for children aged 5 years and under.
  • Chatterbooks clubs for primary school age children

Ask about these and other events at your local library and check our event listings.

Free WI-FI, PC and Internet access

Use our PCs or access library Wi-Fi on your own device. All library PCs have Microsoft Office and offer free access to study and research tools:

  • Ancestry is the number one website for researching your family history.
  • Access to Research hosts thousands of academic articles – perfect for students or anyone conducting research.
  • Theory Test Pro is for anyone studying for their Driving Theory Test and can be accessed on your own device and outside the library.

Printing, scanning and photocopying

Library members can access PCs to scan and print documents, but there is a charge for printing.

You do not need to be a library member to use photocopying facilities or to read books or magazines on the premises.

Access from home

Visit our Library on Demand page to see the resources you can access from home, including eBooks and magazines.

You can also place requests for items and renew your books on our library catalogue or via our Apple App.
