Free membership

Library membership is open to anyone who lives, works or studies in the Falkirk area and, best of all, it's FREE.

Your membership opens a world of information and entertainment. Find out more about the benefits a library membership brings.

How do I join?

Visit any library in the area with a form of identification that includes your name and address eg driving license, official letter or recent utility bill.

We'll then ask you to fill in a short form and you'll be able to immediately access all services, including borrowing books and DVDs, using PCs and Wi-Fi and downloading eBooks, audiobooks and magazines.

Join online

You can also join online where you'll be given a temporary membership. You'll be able to request items on the library catalogue, but you won’t be able to access the full range of services until you visit a library with your ID to complete the registration process.

I am under 16 – how do I join?

If you are under the age of 16 your parent or guardian will need to sign your membership form and provide proof of their name and address.

Which libraries can I use?

You can borrow items or use Wi-Fi and PCs at any library in the Falkirk area. Check our map to find a library near you.

You can also return items to any library, not just the library you borrowed them from.
