Getting here

By public transport:

Falkirk is served by 2 railway stations, Falkirk High and Falkirk Grahamston, and regular bus connections. Check First Bus and National Rail or travelinescotland for information on public transport.

By car:

From Edinburgh: Follow M9 westbound. Exit at Junction 5 and follow brown and white tourist signage for Callendar House & Park.

From Glasgow: Follow M80/A80 eastbound. Join M876 (signposted Kincardine Bridge, Falkirk, Grangemouth). Merge onto M9. Exit at Junction 6 and follow brown and white tourist signage for Callendar House & Park.

From the North: Follow A9/M9 south. Exit M9 at Junction 6 and follow brown and white tourist signage for Callendar House & Park.

Free parking: The car park is accessed via Seaton Place (past the high flats); additional parking available at Estates Avenue.

Disabled parking available in front of Callendar House.

Group Bookings

We welcome groups and coach parties to Callendar House but request that groups of 10 or more book in advance to ensure we are able to accommodate you on your chosen day. We can also offer brunch, lunch and high tea as part of your visit but booking is required to avoid disappointment. Please call 01324 503770 to confirm your booking.


Level access can be found next to the main door of the house. All public areas are accessible for wheelchairs and there is lift access to upper floors. We have found that the vast majority of manual and electric wheelchairs can use this facility however to avoid any disappointment we have provided the dimensions to help with your visit. Door opening width is 78cm, Width of interior is 104cm and depth of interior is 109cm.

An induction loop is installed in our reception/gift shop.

Guide Dogs and Hearing Dogs for the Deaf are welcome in the house.

Adapted WCs can be found on each floor.

Callendar House also has bicycle holders.

Gift Shop

The Callendar House Gift Shop is sited in the Reception area and stocks a wide range of items complementing the house and its history. All major credit cards are accepted but we regret that at present we are unable to process card transactions under £5.00.


The Teashop serves a range of lunch options, snacks and home-baking.
